I'm ideally looking for
a position, where I as part of a team can develop sound learning games
specifically for children. A position that will support my research
into establishing "cognitive based design guidelines" for
designing learning games, eventually resulting in a Ph.D. This ground-breaking
scientific research will substantiate creating learning games that will
not only support the child's natural cognitive needs, but also support
the teachers planned curriculum.

-
I am a mixed
introvert and extrovert, which makes me happiest and most
efficient when ventures are cooperative and partially interactive
rather than individual. The mix of these two traits provide
me with two simultaneous needs - one for companionship, feedback,
and social support while working, and the other for privacy,
calmness in which to concentrate, and independently decision
make.
-
I take a confident,
balanced stand in dealing with stress and adapt my behaviour
to what seems appropriate in the situation. I am for the most
part, relaxed and even-tempered, even under stressful conditions.
-
I am rarely
late or absent. In a team, I provide structure to a group.
I deal with the world in an assertive and analytical way,
objective and organized. I have the ability to inspire others
and get detail work finished.
-
Being a moderately
open person, I am -full of ideas, -creative, and able to approach
problems in a refreshing way. I enjoy theoretical work and
abstract concepts. I can both get ideas and implement them.
-
I am perceptive,
intuitive, and empathetic. I am sensitive to the emotional
currents of others, yet I understand that people are responsible
for their own happiness. I recognize that it is important
to take time for myself, and that it is not possible to please
everyone.
-
I work best
when I get feedback and positive recognition for jobs well
done. On the other side, though, I tend to feel guilty when
others are disappointed. As a result, I sometimes take criticism
a bit personally.
-
I am a gentle and subtle
leader, indirect and inclusive of others. I don't like to
confront people head-on, but rather work with them to get
the job done correctly. I deal with conflict cooperatively,
striving for mutual understanding rather than a win-lose competitive
situation. My ability to empathise with others make me a good
team player.
